The Herald
I am Cassanova, Raidchief of this guild and an officer under Digg. He is Warchief and guild master. The final call on direction, on who leads, and on who stands with the tribe sits with him. My office is the raid: how we prepare, how we attend, and how we treat loot when the night is real.
This letter is not a calendar. World of Warcraft: Forever has not given us a locked raid night, and I will not invent one so the page looks finished. When the night is real, I will say it in plain words. Until then, do not whisper me a clock you made up, and do not tell a recruit that we raid at a hour I have not published.
What I can say is how we will run once that night exists. We progress. We do not hop bosses for a screenshot and call it a raid. We learn the fight, we come with the consumes the fight asks for, and we pull when the roster that signed is in the instance. If you are on the sheet, you are on the sheet. If you cannot come, you say so early enough that I can fill the spot. Silence until the ready check is how raids fall apart.
Loot will be written down before the first boss that drops something people want. The rule will be the same for every raider in the room. There will be no side deals and no whispering the raid leader for a quiet exception. If the rule is wrong, we change it between raids, not over the body.
Class and spec matter because the pull needs a shape. Forever lets Horde play all nine classes, paladin included. Tell me what you play and what you are willing to play if the night needs it. I am not collecting a museum of specs. I am building a group that can kill the boss in front of us. If you have raided before, say the raids and say your job in them. If you have not, say that too. A clean new raider is more useful than a story that does not hold.
Attendance is the office as much as the pull. A core that shows up is the guild. A list of famous names that never zones in is not a raid team, and I will not print famous guilds that are not ours to make us look larger. Digg writes a name when the seat is held. I write a name on the raid sheet when the player will be there.
Invited players are not on that sheet yet. An invite is a call. Claiming it is how you say the name is yours. Until then I plan as if the seat is empty. Do not be offended by that. Be early with the claim if the name is yours.
The open world is part of this guild too. Forever is a frontier shaped by warring factions, with a camping system and profession changes, and with Honor that will change in ways the official page has not fully printed. Preparation is respect. Repair before you zone. Know the fight well enough that the first pull is not your first reading of it. Ask questions before the ready check. After the pull, do the job you were given. If you die to the same mechanic three times, we stop and we say why, and then we pull again. We do not spend the night inventing blame.
When the night is over, loot is done, the sheet is updated, and people leave. I will post what the next lockout needs. Digg remains the final call if the raid and the tribe disagree. That is the order. I keep the raid. He keeps the banner.
Show up. Speak early. Take the loot rule as written. That is how Forever Horde will raid.
